An unpleasant moment happened to the mayor of Tetovo and leader of Besa, Biljal Kasami, at the official reception in Valona on the occasion of the Day of the Albanian flag and 113 years of independence.
In a video posted on social networks, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama greets some of the attendees, including Minister Fatmir Limani, but bypasses Kasami and continues on, without greeting him at all. The recording caused numerous reactions.
Some of the comments connect the ignoring with the close relations between Kasami and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, with whom Rama has a strained relationship. Others believe that Rama simply did not recognize Kasami in the crowd.
